    I want to take a moment and thank you for stopping by MyMarathonRun.com.   This Blog is the result of a desire to lose weight and better control my blood sugar levels.  As a pre-diabetic I was facing the reality of having to go on medication to control my diabetes. As a result of a commitment  and a solid plan to change for the better,  I’m 55 lbs. lighter and living a new and exciting life style. That's just the first 4 years, the best for all of us is still to come.
    This blog will give you information for whatever stage your in, from couch potato to dedicated runner. We will address everything from shoes, hydration, nutrition and training tips & schedule. For me this transition went from running 1 minute at a time to turning in a 3 hour 46 minute marathon,  4 years later. I did it and so can you.
    Please use information provided by this blog to get on your way to improve and enhance your life style. You don’t have to make the same mistakes that I did starting out. Hopefully, this site can be your express ticket to the joy of running.
